Silt
Silt is the earthbound piece within Study No.01 — Remaining. Made by Swan City Ceramics, each mug is formed with layered clay that moves through the surface in bands of brown and cream, recalling sediment, mineral lines, and earth after water has passed through it.
Its pattern is not applied on top, but built into the body of the object itself. The result is a mug that feels grounded, tactile, and quietly alive — a daily vessel with the feeling of something uncovered.
Silt represents what settles. The residue of movement. The weight of earth. The evidence left behind.
