Swan City Ceramics

Founded in 2020 by Jess and Nick, Swan City Ceramics is a husband-and-wife studio built on the belief that handmade objects belong in everyday life. Every piece is thrown on the wheel, trimmed by hand, and finished with glazes the two mix themselves from raw materials — a process that keeps the entire object, from clay body to surface, under their direct control. The result is work that is singular without being precious, functional without being ordinary. For Undefined Objects Study No. 01, Swan City contributes Silt — the earth element — a piece whose layered surface reads like sediment, time made visible in clay.
